Physical, intellectual, emotional, behavioural, social
and sensory aspects may be affected to differing degrees dependent on
the neuro-developmental profile of the individual. Some features of behaviour are
shown below.

Do a significant number of the following difficulties apply to your child?
- Delay in sitting, talking? Limited or no crawling?
General immaturity? Difficulty with balance, co-ordination, skipping,
jumping, running, riding a bike? Movements lack fluidity?
- Difficulty being still? Difficulty with attention, concentration, memory, urine control?
- Difficulty with self-help skills, self organisation,
task organisation, handwriting, communication? Late mastering dressing,
tying shoe laces, using a knife and fork?
- Difficulty with catching a ball, swimming, using a
climbing frame? Often bumping into things, falling or knocking things
over? Falling without hands to protect? Comes too close? Rejects others?
- Posture is slumped , leaning on things, slouched in a chair, floppy, asymmetrical? Low muscle tone?
Hand props up head, head droops close to the page, ‘W’ sitting(sits between feet), toe walking?
- Dislike (or fear) of sudden loud noises, heights,
change. Obsessive behaviour or irrational fears? Hypersensitivity to
touch, smell, taste etc… or sensory seeking? No sense of danger?
- Difficulties at school? e.g. Difficulty with reading,
writing, processing information, rhythm? Disorganised, confused, easily
stressed, tired, gives up easily?
- Difficulty controlling emotions / anger. Outbursts
that can be aggressive, hostile or dissolving into tears? Mood swings,
difficulty choosing, uses controlling behaviour?
- Difficulty making friends? Difficulty with
communication, language taken literally? Withdrawn?
- Lack of empathy? Low self esteem? Breath holding?
Anxious? Finds life is difficult to interpret?
