The Brainchild Developmental Programme

The Programme was developed to help children who were struggling with a wide range of developmental difficulties. This includes children with a  diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder and  other developmental difficulties including bedwetting, sleeping difficulties, balance and co-ordination problems, resistance to writing, communication difficulties, aggression and hyperactivity.

INITIAL CHECKLIST FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY

BrainChild provides the following  tailored services for families and professionals.

NEW FROM January 2012 

Use the programme in the comfort of your home. No travel expenses! Anytime viewing.  It couldn't be easier to help your child.

Online individual assessment.

Personalized access to the Brainchild Developmental Programme. 

You will be able to
  • view and review the instructional videos over a period of 3 weeks.
  • manage your access to the 10 modules.
  • opt for Skype support with our experienced consultants. 
  • take part wherever you are, whenever you choose. 

We still provide:

An Individual Programme with the child and their family. 

A hands-on programme delivered by a professional in a therapeutic setting, with one-to-one parental involvement in the home programme.

Child and parent group BrainChild sessions

Delivery by specialist professionals for groups of children with additional needs, participating with their parents. These groups may be Local Authority funded or grant-aided charity groups.

Professional development opportunities for educational and health professionals:

Professional courses are led by BrainChild in partnership with Edge Hill University leading to a Postgraduate Certificate of Education or contributing to an MA. (optional)

  • whole school staff training in delivery of the School programme (for groups and classes).

The highly successful BrainChild Developmental Programme that ran with families in south Cumbria UK is reported in the Impact Evaluation of the NAS Furness BrainChild Programme Project.
