This 9 year old child has a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome and a profound statement of Special Needs for his educational and behavioural problems. He found most aspects of school difficult, including refusal to write and earlier this year, was excluded for injury to a teacher. Marvelous…'Hi Viv L has had the most marvelous week at school. Last week he took part in four races in sports day. He won a race and won the "Star of the Week" award. This week he wrote 50 words for a story competition!! See you soon. Carole (One week later…….In the last week of the summer term L is usually at meltdown. He arrived at the last group BrainChild session with the Headteacher’s Award sticker proudly displayed on his chest. Six weeks of success at school….) |
